Bridge Future Topics:

  • Where do we go in town when the new motor-way and the rising sale of cars creates gridlock as we all try to get to the countryside?
  • What about the majority of folk in town without cars?
  • What happens when our parks are so stuffed with events  consisting of noise, hamburgers, drink, fairgrounds, cafes, paid on activities, traffic and encroaching business interests?
  • What happens when we can't even see the difference between being in the park and being out?
  • Do you remember being asked if Glasgow City Council could fence off Glasgow Green and charge the public to get in?

The Glasgow public believe the parks belong to them - and they do. But like the Common Good which also belongs to us. If we don't start to understand what is happening to them - We will not own them for long.

Open space and it's relevence to our mental and physical health and social wealth of our children and future generations. are things ignored by city administrators. Their only concern is the wealth of business - as the start to package up our green space for business development.
