Green space is disappearing in Glasgow, and in the West end where property prices have shot up "luxury flats" have sprung up everywhere. So do we wait for the council to deliver allotments? Best to just take whatever green space you can. Grow potatoes, carrots, strawberries - who knows, you may become less reliant on the supermarkets! Grow wildflowers, whatever you like. As Woody Guthrie said "There was a big high wall there, tried to stop me, a sign was painted, said private property, but on the back side, it didn't say nothing, this land is made for you and me".
